WEDDING BLOGS

With Christmas on the horizon, it was time for my final wedding of 2018 and this one was going to be special. Over the past few years there have been many special people in my life that have supported me through thick, thin, good times and bad. It was an absolute honour to be photographing two of those very people. Andrew & Dana are two of my closest friends and it was time for them to tie the knot before the arrival of their little baby who is due early 2019. They had chosen to hold their special day in Windsor, where Andrew had grown up in his childhood. It was only going to be a small wedding for their close family with Dana’s family making the long journey from Latvia. The attention to detail on the day was incredible with Andrew seakng pure perfection for his beautiful bride and it was a early start for us all with Hair & Make Up starting at 6am

We started the day at The Castle Hotel in Windsor with Dana and her sister in law Anastasija. Hair & make up was being done by Tamara Tott and I think you’ll agree, Dana looked absolutely stunning. With a early ceremony booked for 11am, there was a lot to get done. Here are some images I captured of Dana as she prepared to become the new Mrs Scott and also a quick shot of Andrew as he arrived at the ceremony venue…

With the ceremony being held at The Windsor Guildhall , it was just a short trip across the road for Dana to walk her final steps as a fiancé. The ceremony was just lovely to witness as it was perfectly intimate, full of smiles and there was so much love in the air with two families from two very different countries coming together to celebrate such a beautiful occasion. I never forget the smiles on the grooms face as he turns to see his bride for the first time and this special day was no different.

After the ceremony we headed off for a little portrait shoot with our newly weds and what better backdrop than the picturesque town of Windsor. We had already done a little trip earlier in the month to check out some possible spots to shoot in and here are some images we captured…

After our portrait shoot around Windsor, we headed off to Coworth Park where Andrew & Dana had planned to hold their wedding reception. This is a beautiful venue set in the heart of Ascot with breathtaking surroundings, I’d highly recommend if you are looking for the 5* star experience and a relaxed weekend away. At the venue, Andrew & Dana had chosen to have a family meal within The Tower House which was just the perfect setting for such an intimate wedding. With a large oval table, log fire, special wasabi vodka brought from abroad and multilingual speeches, the love in the air was just infectious.

This is the time in my blog when I would just like to say a huge thank you to both Andrew & Dana for letting me be such a huge part of their special day. I really do feel honoured to have such great friends like yourself and to be a part of your journey together. Here’s to many years of happiness together and to 2019 and all it holds for you and your growing family.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to all of your friends and family who really made me feel welcome. It was lovely to see two countries coming together to celebrate in such an intimate and beautiful setting. I think you would agree, the lovely couple just look amazing together. Here are a few more images for your viewing pleasure and please feel free to leave a little comment below.

Lots of love

Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve

So I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Caroline & Eddie and boy what a day to get married on. The weather had been a little all over the place over the past weeks, but the sun gods were on our side today and it was a scorcher! Our lovely couple had planned for their big day to be held at The Royal Beach Hotel in the heart of Southsea and what a location this is. You have the seafront on your doorstep and the stunning pier just across the road which I had my eye on for our portrait shoot later in the day.

First up thou, I started the morning with Caroline and her sister Jo, who had been given the very important job of Bridesmaid. We were situated in the honeymoon suite at the hotel, the perfect area for the morning preparation, this room was huge! Caroline was having her hair and make up done by the lovely ladies from 3 Angels Hair & Beauty, who are just fantastic and we all had a great laugh. Here are some images I captured of Caroline and her preparation in the morning…

Eddie was planning to arrive at the hotel in style and I think you’ll all agree he definitely did that. He had chosen his best friend Mark to be his best man and it was down to him to keep the nerves at bay. All seemed nice and calm thou and it was a pleasure to see Eddie happy and smiling….. well what do you expect, he was about to marry the girl of his dreams. Here are some images I captured of Eddie and Mark as they awaited the beautiful bride…

Back with Caroline and it was time to attack the dress. It was down to her bridesmaid Jo to lace her up and this is probably one of the most important jobs of the day. I would always recommend practising lacing up a dress if you are having someone do it as it can be quite tricky. It always seems to fall down to me to help out, but its all part of the job. Here are some images I captured as Caroline took her final steps as a finance to become a wife…

Now its time to say a huge thank you to both Caroline & Eddie, one for choosing me to be their photographer on such a special day but also for having such a great laugh and being the perfect couple to photograph. Boy did we all laugh! You guys are just amazing together and I really do hope you have the most amazing life together. Here’s to many years of happiness and all the little adventures you have planned.

I’d also like to say a huge thank you to everyone that attended their lovely day. We all had a laughed and there were even a few tears amongst the crowd and you guys really did make my day fun and easy. If anyone is currently planning their special day, please feel free to give me a shout, I would love to be a part of yours too. Also feel free to leave a message in the comment section.

But before you go and for the grand finale….. here are some more images from their big day and I think you will all agree, they look stunning together!

Lots of love

Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve

With the wedding season coming to a end, it was time for Tom & Tara to tie the knot and become the new Mr & Mrs Bell. Tara had made contact with me after seeing some of my previous work at one of our lovely couples from last year. They started the planning for their big day earlier in the year and it seems to have come around so quickly. They had chosen to get married at St Edmunds Church on The Avenue in Southampton and then onto The Balmer Lawn Hotel & Spa for their reception and to party the night away. The Balmer Lawn Hotel & Spa is a stunning retreat set in the beautiful New Forest and boasts traditional architecture with a 21st century twist. Highly recommended if you are looking for the perfect little get away or even planning your big day.

So I started the morning with Tara at their family home in the heart of Southampton, where she planned to have her Hair & Make Up done with her bridesmaid Erin and not forgetting lovely little Imogen, who is a recent addition to the Bell household. Hair & Make Up was by the lovely Sally Ann from Christchurch Bridal Hair & Make Up and I think you will all agree what a stunning job she done. Here are some images I captured of our blushing bride as she prepared to become the new Mrs Bell…

I think its only appropriate that we take a quick look at what Tom had been unto. I met the guys at the Church for a quick shoot before he was to await his bride at the end of the aisle. Here are a few images I captured of Tom moments before his bride walked the aisle…

Back to Tara who by this point was starting to think about her final preparation and the beautiful dress. Tara had got her dress from Oxfam and it was just beautiful! With clean crisp lines and sparkling detail it was the perfect dress for todays bride. With all of my weddings, it was a calm chilled morning and this is the point when all hell starts to break loose and we start to really get a feel for the time and what is on the horizon. Yes it was time for Tara to become the new Mrs Bell…

I would just like to take this moment to say a huge thank you to both Tara & Tom for letting me document their special day. It truly was a breathtaking day and you guys along with Imogen just make the perfect couple and family. Here’s to many years of happiness and to all the little adventures you have planned for the future.

I just want to say a huge thank you to all the support that I receive from previous couples, friends, family and wedding guests over the years. Without you guys my business wouldn’t be what it is and I wouldn’t be working with the couples I do. A simple SHARE on Facebook or Instagram really does make the difference and I appreciate it so much. BUT before you go, there are loads more images for your viewing pleasure below and also feel free to leave a comment in the comments section at the end. Its always great to get some feedback.

One last thing… If you are currently planning your big day and looking for a wedding photographer, give me a shout, lets chat weddings!

Lots of love

Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve

The day was finally upon us and it was time to help celebrate and photograph the wedding of Darryl & Billy. This date had been one that I’ve been looking forward to for quite a while as I knew it was going to be a day to remember, I wasn’t wrong there and the boys celebrated in style. They had planned to get ready in separate locations and they had their own teams of bridesmaids to help with their preparation. The whole day was to be held at Emirates Spinnake Tower in Gunwharf Quays, so straight away there was going to be a huge wow factor about the day.

It was a absolute honour to be asked to photograph their special day as they had originally seen my work from Darryl’s cousins wedding a few years back and to share their journey over the year really was a lovely privilege. I was to start the day with Billy and his.... what I can only describe as “crazy” bunch of bridesmaids. It was dangerous for a single man to step into a room with these girls but I must say it was great fun and we all had such a laugh. It was a afternoon full of laughter, fun, giggles, tears but one thing was clear and that was the love that everyone had for each other. Here are a selection of images that I captured in the preparation stages with Billy and the girls…

After a short journey around the corner, it was time to meet up with Darryl and his team of bridesmaids who were all getting ready at Darryl’s mums house. Its always lovely to see some familiar faces and today was no exception as I have know the family for many years and they are always a pleasure to be around and without fail always a great laugh. Darryl’s preparation was a lot more chilled thou and it was nice to have a bit of chill time from the crazy crew around the corner.

As with most of my couples, the mornings preparation always flies by and before you know it, time is running out and we need to get those final preparations in place before our handsome couple tie the knot. Here are some images I capture of Darryl’s preparation before he left home to meet the love of his life at the end of the aisle…

I would just like to take this moment to say a huge thank you to both Darryl & Billy for letting me be such a big part of their special day. I can honestly hand on heart say that it was such a beautiful breath taking day and the love you have for each other is infectious. It was so lovely to watch you both become the beautiful couple we see before us and I would just like to wish you all the happiness for the future and all the little adventures you have planned.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to all of your friends and family for a day full of fun & laughter. I had such a great day and you guys really did keep me on my toes from the word go. If any of you are currently planning your special day, please feel free to drop me a message and lets chat weddings!

But before you all go, there are loads more images below for your viewing pleasure and I think you’ll agree these two look amazing. Please feel free to leave any comments below as I always love a bit of feedback.

Lots of love

Chris
