WEDDING BLOGS

As with most of our wedding couples, Kate & Zach came to us through a recommendation and their day was finally upon us. It seemed only yesterday that we first met up with the lovely couple to discuss their special day and what they had planned, but before you know it, the day was on our door step and it was time to celebrate.

Kate & Zach had planned for their day to be held at Norton Park Hotel which is a absolutely stunning venue nestled in Sutton Scotty near Winchester. It boasts the stunning backdrop for the perfect wedding day and has everything from a beautiful Manor House to a breath taking 17th Century Tythe Barn within its grounds. Our lovely couple had planned to use every part of which this gorgeous venue has to offer.

We started the morning at Kate’s parents home in Hedge End before heading off to the venue to apply the finishing touches. First up, the details and the hair….

It was only a short journey to the venue, where Kate had planned to do her own Make-Up and enjoy some time with her bridesmaids Alex & Rosie and her bridesman Jack. It was a very calm affair to start with and this is always the case with the girls in the morning, but it is very much the calm before the storm in all cases and the nerves were on the horizon.

Here are some images we captured of Kate in her final stages before it was time to think about the dress….

We were on schedule and took some time away from the girls to head over to meet the gents, who by this point were arriving at the venue and making their way to the bar. Zach and his best men Josh & Adam were looking sharp and raring to go. Here are some images we captured of the gents before they took their positions at the end of the aisle to await the arrival of Zach’s bride to be…..

Quick trip back to the girls and it was time to attack the dress. Kate had chosen to go for a stunningly simplistic lace dress with beautiful detailing throughout. The dress was by a designer called Rembo Styling and boy did she look absolutely breathtaking and I think you’ll agree the images show this off to a tee. Here are some images we captured of Kate as she took her final steps to becoming the new Dr Simpson….

I’d just like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to both Kate & Zach for choosing me to capture their special day and I really do hope I’ve done you proud with the images we’ve created. It was great fun working with you on the day and you guys are just amazing as a couple. Here’s to may years of happiness together and all the fun adventures you have planned as the new Mr & Dr Simpson.

Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve

On Saturday I spent the evening photographing the wedding of the new Mr & Mrs Youngman, Jenny & Craig. They planned their special day to be held at Macdonald Botley Park Hotel and Spa, in Southampton and what a amazing day it turned out to be. The weather was just beautiful, summer was finally on the doorstep.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to both Jenny & Craig for letting me a be part of their special day and capturing some stunning images of the two of you. We all had a great laugh with your friends and family and I hope you enjoy the images whilst you are away on honeymoon in the sun.

Quick message to everyone who reads my blogs…If you or a friend are currently planning your special day, please don’t hesitate to get in contact. I would love to be a part of your special day too and capture some images you’ll treasure forever.

Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve

So I first met Andrea & Mark at The Royal Beach Hotel wedding fair which seems so long ago but the time flies and before you know it, the day is upon us. The lovely couple had decided to hold the full day at The Royal Beach Hotel and it really is the perfect venue for the perfect day.

It was clear from the word go that there was no bridezilla at this wedding, but more like a groomzilla! Mark really had his claws into this project and it was a pleasure to be a part of such a finely organised event. It was definitely a team effort thou and the venue looked stunning. We started the day with the girls in the bridal suite at the hotel with Andrea as she started her preparation to becoming the new Mrs Hutchings. Here are a few images I captured of the lovely bride to be in the morning…

One of my favourite wedding days is when the preparation, ceremony and reception is all in one place as it saves my skinny legs the ache of all that walking! So I head a few floors down to meet up with Mark and his team of men, who by this point were starting to get into their suits and apply the finishing touches to their hair and in Mark’s case, beautiful trimmed beard. We had a great laugh and here are some of the images we created…

Back up in the elevator and into the mayhem I go…. By this point everything was starting to become real for Andrea and it was nearly time to get into her beautiful dress, which was from Creatiques in Southsea, which we would highly recommend for not only a fantastic bespoke service but also some of the most stunning dresses in the South Coast.

The time was running away from us and after a few little hints that it was time to get into the dress, the girls finally gave in and it was that moment when a girl finally lives what she’s been dreaming of since a little girl. Andrea took her final steps and made the finishing touches to become the beautiful bride you see before you. Here are some images we captured of Andrea and those beautiful moments…

I just like to say a huge thank you to both Andrea & Mark for letting me be such a huge part of their special day and I really hope I’ve done you proud with the images we have made. I know the weather wasn’t on our side but that didn’t stop us and I think you will all agree the lovely couple look stunning. Here’s to many more years of happiness!

I would also like to say a huge thank you to their friends and family for making my day so easy and being such a great laugh throughout. If you are currently planning your special day and looking for a wedding photographer, please don’t hesitate to get in contact, as I’d love to capture your special moments too.

There’s still more to see thou, so don’t go anywhere just yet…

Lots of love

Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve

I first met todays lovely couple through a mutual friend, who had recommended me to the guys as they were originally not having a professional photographer for their special day, but it was something they were considering. Let me introduce the gorgeous Mr & Mrs Grayland-Leech, Josie & Matt. The guys had planned for their special day to be held in their home town of Winchester and near to the original spot where Matt first dropped to his knee to propose to his soon to be bride at Winchester Cathedral.

We started the day with Josie and her fabulous bridesmaids at the Grayland-Leech family home which was only a short distance from the Winchester Registry Office where the ceremony was to be held. The morning was a very calm affair and everyone was chilled but it wasn’t long before the so called storm arrived, after the calmness. Here are a few images I captured of Josie’s preparation in the morning…

I just wanted to quickly break away from the girls and show you some images I captured of Matt when he arrived at the registry office, looking very dapper and very sharp. Its one of my favourite parts of the day as I get to witness all the nerves starting to appear, but in Matt’s case he was keeping things very chilled. Check out these…

So now its time to unveil the images I captured in the final stages of Josie’s preparation. As friends and family started to arrive to give their well wishes, the nerves were in full swing and to put it in the nicest way possible…. All hell started to break loose as time started to catch up on us. Here are some absolutely stunning images I captured before Josie took her final steps towards becoming the new Mrs Grayland-Leech…

This is the point in their blog where I would just like to say a huge thank you to both Josie & Matt for letting me be such a huge part of their special day. It really was a stunning day and so much fun, you guys are a great laugh.  Also a big thank you to Kate for introducing me to the lovely couple as without people like you my business wouldn't thrive as it does.

Before you all go thou, there’s load of images below for your viewing pleasure. After the ceremony we headed down to the Cathedral, which makes the perfect backdrop for our little portrait shoot as I’m sure you’ll agree.

Guys, you are amazing and I really had a great time photographing you both and of course your wonderful friends and family. You have created the most amazing little family and here’s to many years of happiness and I wish you all the best for the future and all it holds as the new Mr & Mrs Grayland-Leech.

Lots of love
