WEDDING BLOGS

So it seems along time since we first met with Zoe & Frankie for their engagement shoot and Zoe has kept a keen eye on our work over the year with the excitement building for her special day.  Zoe & Frankie planned their special day to be held a Woodloands Lodge in the New Forest and what a stunning venue it is.  Set back with a beautiful surrounding, this venue is the perfect hide away for any couple to plan their big day.  The theme for the day was based around Frankie’s place of work, the London Underground.  We really cannot wait to incorporate this into their album design which we will do in a few weeks.

We started the day with Zoe and her team of bridesmaids, who were getting ready at the hotel in one of the spacious suites they have to offer.  It was a early start with hair & make up and here are some images we captured….

Frankie was getting ready up in the attic room of the hotel with his team of gents, I’d like to say they were as organised as the ladies but the time was catching up with them. They had been tasked with the important job of getting all the young groomsmen ready as well, which on paper is a easy task, but in reality can be a little stressful. The guys did a great job thou and here are a few images we captured of Frankie and preparation….

It was a quick tern around and straight back to the girl, who by this point were starting to make their final preparations and thinking about their dresses.  It was still very calm but this was soon about to change and for me to start to get just a little bossy..... as you can imagine this is dangerous territory for a male photographer, some may call it suicide but luckily the girls were on side.  It was also that time of the day that every bride has dreamed about for the years they have been planning this day.  It was time the donning of the beautiful dress and for Zoe to take her final steps as a finance and to become a Mrs.  Here are some images we created with Zoe and the girls...

The ceremony itself was just stunning and there was so much love in the air and smiles all round.  We would just like to take this time to say a huge thank you to both Zoe & Frankie and for letting us be such a huge part of their journey.  You guys have supported us so much with our business and it was just a huge honour to photograph and capture some absolutely amazing moments.

Don't worry thou, I think we got a little snap happy and there are many more images to view below.  Here's to many more years of happiness and to the amazing new Mr & Mrs Carballeira.

Lots of love

"Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve"

So when I first got asked to photograph Darren & Jonathan's special day, it was such a overwhelming honour as i've known Darren since my school years and we've spent many a drunken moment on the town together.  I knew from the start that the day was going to be full of fun and familiar faces, but also it was going to be a spectacle that would take a lot to beat.  They had already tied the knot officially earlier in the year in Las Vegas and this was to celebrate their marriage with their special family and friends.

When speaking with Darren & Jonathan, they talked about how this started as just a little get together and now has grown to a full on wedding, but we all expected nothing else from these two amazing guys.  From the wow factor backdrop of Horsley Towers in Surrey to the musical fireworks on the lawn, every step of this marriage was breath taking.  We started the morning with both Darren & Jonathan and their preparation and here are a few images we captured...

The structure of the day was a little different to the average wedding day due to their big day back in August in Las Vegas. But trust me they didn't hold back on any details.  From the long table in the grand Sopwith room, fine detailing to the classical 19th century mansion where the live music could be heard throughout, every inch of the room was surrounded by smiles and laughter.  The main event was to take place in the evening where they had a blessing planned followed by some musical fireworks which were just stunning.

Here are a few images we captured throughout the day with the lovely couple, followed by the evening blessing and not forgetting the incredible fireworks.

We would just like to take this moment to say a huge thank you to both Darren & Jonathan for letting us be a part of their special day.  It truly was breath taking and so nice to meet new and old friends in such a stunning backdrop with two beautiful people on their special day.

Here is too many more years of happiness and crazy times ahead.

Lots of love

"Together, forever, believe & achieve"

Autumn is upon us and we are getting to the end of our wedding season with only a few more remaining before we hit 2017.  Today’s wedding was for a lovely couple we met nearly a year and half ago and the time had flown past.  Lucy & Aaron had planned their special day for the 15th October and they were to hold the ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Portsmouth and then the reception was onto the Innlodge which was also in Portsmouth.

We started the morning with Lucy and her six bridesmaids at their family home, where they were to start the preparation to becoming the new Mrs Privett.  It was a stunning Autumn morning and there was a chill in the air, with the sun trying its hardest to break through the clouds.  Don’t you worry, it eventually did and it was such a beautiful day, the perfect day for a celebration and a wedding.  Here are some images we captured of Lucy, her preparation and all the little details she had been planning over the year…

It was a quick drive up to Aaron, who was getting ready at his bestman/dads house in Fareham.  When I first walked into the room it was like stumbling across 3 guys withs with the blue prints to building a space station.  They were all just staring at their cravats, pocket squares and tie pins and I knew they may need a little guidance.  So I took it upon myself to dress the gents…. not literally, just tie their cravats etc.  This is something over the season that has become a regular occurrence for us, but they must all look perfect, otherwise the OCD kicks in whilst editing!!

Here are a few images we created of Aaron whilst his preparation started to come to a close and he awaited his bride to be at the end of the aisle…

Quickly back to Lucy, who by this point was starting to get her mind set on the dress and how to attack it.  It was a stunningly beautiful princess dress and boy did it pack that wow factor.  With more and more people turning up to say hi and the clock ticking away, it was time to clear the room and for Lucy to step into her dress.  Here are a few images we created of Lucy as the nerves started to appear…

Ami and I would just like to say a huge thank you to both Lucy & Aaron for choosing us to be a part of their special day.  What a stunning way to celebrate and what an amazing fun couple you both are.  Here’s to many years of happiness together and to loads of fun along the way.

As for you lovely readers/viewers, don’t you worry there is plenty of images below for your viewing pleasure and please feel free to leave some feedback or comments below for the lovely couple.

 "Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve"

Nearly at the end of wedding season for us and the time had come to help celebrate and photograph the wedding of Danielle & Tom, the new Mr & Mrs Bigwood.  They had planned their special day to be held at The Langstone Hotel on Hayling Island and the weather was just perfect for this venue.  This venue really lends itself well to a cool spring afternoon and we knew from the offset that the great image opportunities would come thick and fast.

We had met up with Danielle & Tom on a few occasions before to talk through their special day and to find out if any familiar faces would be their on the day and without fail they had chosen some of our favourite suppliers in the industry.  The flowers were being created by one of our favourites, Mrs Bouquets and the colour theme was the pastel colour palette and this just lent itself so well with the flower arrangements.  Also they had chosen Vinnie's Vintage Vehicles for their mode of transport and their VW Camper.  If yo are looking for a VW camper or similar for your special day, check out their site, they have some amazing vehicles.

Back to our special couple... We started the day with Danielle at her parents house in Waterlooville for the start of the preparation to commence.  Here are a few images we created of Danielle as she got the morning underway and her first steps towards becoming the new Mrs Bigwood...

We always like to make time to visit the groom on their special day too as we feel its crucial to be able to tell the story properly in their album.  Tom and his merry men were getting ready at The Langstone Hotel, so it was just a quick trip down the road for us to capture some images of Tom as he started his preparation to marrying the girl of his dreams.  Here are some images we captured of Tom getting ready...

After spending a bit of time with Tom, we headed back to catch up with Danielle and see how she was getting on.  With her hair and make up finished, it was nearly time for her to get into her stunning dress.  This is where the nerves really start to appear and usually where all hell breaks loose as everyone starts to panic and the kids start to run riot, smashing their flowers and pulling off any head pieces they have been decorated with.  This wedding day was different thou!  Everything was really calm and chilled and their was no sense of nerves/stress at all.  So we proceeded to photograph Danielle whilst her mum helped her into her dress and here are a few images we captured along the way...

Ami and I would just like to at this point say a huge thank you to both Danielle & Tom for letting us be such a huge part of their special day.  The day was full of fun, laughter and love and we both left the day with huge smiles on our faces.  We hope you guys have an amazing life  together and here's too many years of happiness and success in everything you do as team Bigwood.

Another quick thank you goes to the friends and family of Danielle & Tom.  Without your help on the big day, our jobs wouldn't be as easy as it is.  We hope we have captured some stunning images of the lovely couple, but don't worry theirs plenty more to view below.

Happy Viewing...

Lots of love
