WEDDING BLOGS

Autumn is upon us and we are getting to the end of our wedding season with only a few more remaining before we hit 2017.  Today’s wedding was for a lovely couple we met nearly a year and half ago and the time had flown past.  Lucy & Aaron had planned their special day for the 15th October and they were to hold the ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Portsmouth and then the reception was onto the Innlodge which was also in Portsmouth.

We started the morning with Lucy and her six bridesmaids at their family home, where they were to start the preparation to becoming the new Mrs Privett.  It was a stunning Autumn morning and there was a chill in the air, with the sun trying its hardest to break through the clouds.  Don’t you worry, it eventually did and it was such a beautiful day, the perfect day for a celebration and a wedding.  Here are some images we captured of Lucy, her preparation and all the little details she had been planning over the year…

It was a quick drive up to Aaron, who was getting ready at his bestman/dads house in Fareham.  When I first walked into the room it was like stumbling across 3 guys withs with the blue prints to building a space station.  They were all just staring at their cravats, pocket squares and tie pins and I knew they may need a little guidance.  So I took it upon myself to dress the gents…. not literally, just tie their cravats etc.  This is something over the season that has become a regular occurrence for us, but they must all look perfect, otherwise the OCD kicks in whilst editing!!

Here are a few images we created of Aaron whilst his preparation started to come to a close and he awaited his bride to be at the end of the aisle…

Quickly back to Lucy, who by this point was starting to get her mind set on the dress and how to attack it.  It was a stunningly beautiful princess dress and boy did it pack that wow factor.  With more and more people turning up to say hi and the clock ticking away, it was time to clear the room and for Lucy to step into her dress.  Here are a few images we created of Lucy as the nerves started to appear…

Ami and I would just like to say a huge thank you to both Lucy & Aaron for choosing us to be a part of their special day.  What a stunning way to celebrate and what an amazing fun couple you both are.  Here’s to many years of happiness together and to loads of fun along the way.

As for you lovely readers/viewers, don’t you worry there is plenty of images below for your viewing pleasure and please feel free to leave some feedback or comments below for the lovely couple.

Lots of love

 "Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve"

Nearly at the end of wedding season for us and the time had come to help celebrate and photograph the wedding of Danielle & Tom, the new Mr & Mrs Bigwood.  They had planned their special day to be held at The Langstone Hotel on Hayling Island and the weather was just perfect for this venue.  This venue really lends itself well to a cool spring afternoon and we knew from the offset that the great image opportunities would come thick and fast.

We had met up with Danielle & Tom on a few occasions before to talk through their special day and to find out if any familiar faces would be their on the day and without fail they had chosen some of our favourite suppliers in the industry.  The flowers were being created by one of our favourites, Mrs Bouquets and the colour theme was the pastel colour palette and this just lent itself so well with the flower arrangements.  Also they had chosen Vinnie's Vintage Vehicles for their mode of transport and their VW Camper.  If yo are looking for a VW camper or similar for your special day, check out their site, they have some amazing vehicles.

Back to our special couple... We started the day with Danielle at her parents house in Waterlooville for the start of the preparation to commence.  Here are a few images we created of Danielle as she got the morning underway and her first steps towards becoming the new Mrs Bigwood...

We always like to make time to visit the groom on their special day too as we feel its crucial to be able to tell the story properly in their album.  Tom and his merry men were getting ready at The Langstone Hotel, so it was just a quick trip down the road for us to capture some images of Tom as he started his preparation to marrying the girl of his dreams.  Here are some images we captured of Tom getting ready...

After spending a bit of time with Tom, we headed back to catch up with Danielle and see how she was getting on.  With her hair and make up finished, it was nearly time for her to get into her stunning dress.  This is where the nerves really start to appear and usually where all hell breaks loose as everyone starts to panic and the kids start to run riot, smashing their flowers and pulling off any head pieces they have been decorated with.  This wedding day was different thou!  Everything was really calm and chilled and their was no sense of nerves/stress at all.  So we proceeded to photograph Danielle whilst her mum helped her into her dress and here are a few images we captured along the way...

Ami and I would just like to at this point say a huge thank you to both Danielle & Tom for letting us be such a huge part of their special day.  The day was full of fun, laughter and love and we both left the day with huge smiles on our faces.  We hope you guys have an amazing life  together and here's too many years of happiness and success in everything you do as team Bigwood.

Another quick thank you goes to the friends and family of Danielle & Tom.  Without your help on the big day, our jobs wouldn't be as easy as it is.  We hope we have captured some stunning images of the lovely couple, but don't worry theirs plenty more to view below.

Happy Viewing...

Lots of love

"Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve"

Weddings just comes around so quickly and it seems like only yesterday that we first met up with Karen & Tyrone to talk about their special day.  These guys have such an amazing story to how they met and it all started in Jamaica on holiday one year.  A simple conversation in a bar sparked the love they now hold for each other and its so infectious.

Karen & Tyrone had planned to hold their ceremony at their local church in Milton Portsmouth and had chosen St James Church on Milton Road and what a stunning church this is.  First stop for us thou was just a little walk around the corner from home, where Karen was having her hair and make-up done at The HairdressSir Salon on Albert Road which is situated in Creatique Bridal shop where Karen had chosen her beautiful, stunning, amazing, gorgeous dress… sorry about that, I got a little carried away! ;)  The dress was a beautiful traditional ball gown style wedding dress with just the most amazing detailing throughout.  Here are a few images we created of Karen and as her morning unfolded...

After the salon Karen and her team of girls headed back to her parents home where they planned to make the final preparations before heading off to the church.  Here are a few images we created of Karen as she got into her dream dress and the nerves started to unfold and also all the little details she had been planning over the year…….

Tyrone planned to get ready at their reception venue which was Old Thorns Golf and Country Club near Liphook.  This is becoming a very popular venue for our couples and it offers such a great wedding experience and for us as photographers its our job to make the images bespoke to all couples.  There are some absolute stunning little nooks and crannies at the venue which we planned to photograph with our lovely couple, a little later in the day.

We met up with Tyrone at the church for a quick shoot before he awaited his beautiful bride at the end of the aisle…

Well we’ve now got to that point in our blog where we leave you to enjoy the rest of their day.  But before we go we would like to say a huge thank you to Karen & Tyrone for such a stunning day and for letting us be such a huge part of it.  You guys are just great and we really believe we have made two great friends over our little journey together.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to your friends and family who on the day made us so welcome and we’ve got so many images below to show you.  So sit back, relax, crack open a bottle of fizz to toast this amazing couple.  Oh and please feel free to leave them a message at the end of this blog or if you have any feedback, drop us a message.

Lots of love

"Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve"

When it comes to weddings in England, theres always the big worry of the lovely weather.  But with most of our weddings the weather pulls through and the sun shines exactly at the right points in the day.  Todays wedding was no exception and the weather was just perfect.  For the perfect wedding photography, slightly overcast is best for us and the sun gods were on our side.

So todays lovely couple, Kirsty & Andy had decided to hold their special day at Skylark Golf & Country Club. This stunning venue is situated in Whiteley, Hampshire and offers some beautiful little touches for the perfect wedding.  We started the day with Kirsty at home with her team of girls.  Here are some images we captured whilst the day unfolded in the early hours....

Andy had a few errands to run in the morning and a few things to drop off at Skylark.  So we made a quick trip to meet up with him and his bestmen for a quick shoot.  One of our main roles on the day of a wedding is to make sure that all parties are looking dapper.  Its crucial that all the gents ties are identical and are all tied with a half windsor knot.  Its the small details in our images that give them that extra wow factor and separate us from the norm.  Here are a few images we created of the guys at Skylark...

Quick turn around and back to Kirsty and the girls.  It was quite a calm morning at the house but the day was catching up on them and it was time to start thinking about the dress.  We had prepared the conservatory as Kirsty's dressing room and strategically placed all of her wedding bits around for the grand finale before the even bigger grand finale aka the ceremony.  Its always nice to create a environment and atmosphere for the perfect images and another key factor is lighting.  The conservatory was just perfect and it was time for Kirsty to take those final steps towards becoming the new Mrs Smith...

The ceremony was just stunning and the new Mr & Mrs Smith were just beaming.  We would just like to take this opportunity to thank both Kirsty & Andy for letting us be such a big part of their special day.  Your little family is now complete and it was such a honour to photograph you all.  Here's to many more years of happiness and the fun adventure you guys have ahead of you.

Also a big thank you to all of Kirsty & Andy's family and friends, mainly for your support but also for being so welcoming to us on the day.  We really did have a great day and their are so many more images to show you.  We've picked some of our favourites to show you below and please feel free to leave a message below for the lovely couple.

Lots of love
