WEDDING BLOGS

The day was finally upon us and it was time to help celebrate and photograph the wedding of Darryl & Billy. This date had been one that I’ve been looking forward to for quite a while as I knew it was going to be a day to remember, I wasn’t wrong there and the boys celebrated in style. They had planned to get ready in separate locations and they had their own teams of bridesmaids to help with their preparation. The whole day was to be held at Emirates Spinnake Tower in Gunwharf Quays, so straight away there was going to be a huge wow factor about the day.

It was a absolute honour to be asked to photograph their special day as they had originally seen my work from Darryl’s cousins wedding a few years back and to share their journey over the year really was a lovely privilege. I was to start the day with Billy and his.... what I can only describe as “crazy” bunch of bridesmaids. It was dangerous for a single man to step into a room with these girls but I must say it was great fun and we all had such a laugh. It was a afternoon full of laughter, fun, giggles, tears but one thing was clear and that was the love that everyone had for each other. Here are a selection of images that I captured in the preparation stages with Billy and the girls…

After a short journey around the corner, it was time to meet up with Darryl and his team of bridesmaids who were all getting ready at Darryl’s mums house. Its always lovely to see some familiar faces and today was no exception as I have know the family for many years and they are always a pleasure to be around and without fail always a great laugh. Darryl’s preparation was a lot more chilled thou and it was nice to have a bit of chill time from the crazy crew around the corner.

As with most of my couples, the mornings preparation always flies by and before you know it, time is running out and we need to get those final preparations in place before our handsome couple tie the knot. Here are some images I capture of Darryl’s preparation before he left home to meet the love of his life at the end of the aisle…

I would just like to take this moment to say a huge thank you to both Darryl & Billy for letting me be such a big part of their special day. I can honestly hand on heart say that it was such a beautiful breath taking day and the love you have for each other is infectious. It was so lovely to watch you both become the beautiful couple we see before us and I would just like to wish you all the happiness for the future and all the little adventures you have planned.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to all of your friends and family for a day full of fun & laughter. I had such a great day and you guys really did keep me on my toes from the word go. If any of you are currently planning your special day, please feel free to drop me a message and lets chat weddings!

But before you all go, there are loads more images below for your viewing pleasure and I think you’ll agree these two look amazing. Please feel free to leave any comments below as I always love a bit of feedback.

Lots of love

Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve

The time has flown past since I first met up with Carly & Rob many moons ago to discuss their wedding photography in detail. I absolutely love this couple as they have such a great sense of humour and I just couldn’t wait to photograph their big day. I just knew it was going to be a day too remember and the day was on our doorstep.

They had planned for their ceremony to be held on HMS Warrior and for their reception to be held at The Square Tower, Old Portsmouth. I started the day with Carly and her bridesmaids at Number Four Boutique Hotel , which is a stunning venue in the heart of Southsea. When I arrived, the party was in full swing. Here are a few images I captured of Carly, her bridesmaids, their preparation and all the little details…

Carly & Rob planned for their ceremony to be held early so we were on a strict schedule and had a lot to get done. With Rob already at the Warrior awaiting his bride, it was time for the girls to think about the dress. She had a good solid team by her side with her maid of honour Amie and two bridesmaids Helena & Holly. Let the mayhem commence! It was like the family scene in Home Alone when they are getting ready to leave on holiday!! Ahhhhh…..

Don’t worry thou, everything came together nicely and it was all hands on deck and I think you will agree, our bride looks stunning. Here are some images I captured….

I had a little bit of time before Carly arrived in the Dockyard, so it was Rob’s turn to get in front of the camera with his two best men, Harry and dad Allan. We made use of the stunning backdrop of the HMS Warrior and its also a great opportunity for Rob to take his mind off his nerves. Here are some images I captured of Rob and his merry men…

I would just like to say a huge thank you to both Carly & Rob for choosing me to be such a huge part of their special day. Its been such a fun journey with you both and I think everyone will agree, you make a beautiful couple together. Here’s to many years of happiness and all the little adventures you have planned for your future.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in making this day so special for the new Mr & Mrs Hurlow. I had such a great laugh with all of the guests, both friends and family, you guys made my job so easy and I cannot thank you enough. If any of you are planning your big day and currently looking for a wedding photographer, give me a shout if you like what you see. I would love to be a part of your special day too.

Before you go though, please feel free to leave a message below or some feedback about the images and don’t worry there’s plenty more below for your viewing pleasure.

Lots of love

Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve

What a absolutely stunning day spent with Amy & Kate as they tied the knot in style. I first met Amy & Kate only a few months ago as they got in contact with me to photograph and document their special day. They had planned for the day to be held with the theme of a traditional village hall fete and this is why Rotate Village Hall was on the top of their list for venues. With a old school VW Camper as their mode of transport, bouncy castle on site, bunting decorating the hall, it was time for them to unite their love for each other.

I started the morning with Kate at her family home in Liss, where she grew up as a child. It was a very peaceful morning with a little chill in the air but the weather recently had taken a turn so we were all a little unsure with what to expect. But it seemed the weather gods were on our side and it was going to be just perfect for our lovely couple. Kate had chosen to go for a stunning vintage style dress with beautiful detailing throughout. Here are a few images I captured of Kate in the morning and her preparation…

It was just a short journey down the road to meet up with Amy and their bridesmaid Laura. The amazing Nicky from Vanilla Blush Make Up had the important job of both of our brides make up & hair today and as you can see from the images what a amazing job she did.

Amy’s morning was a little more hectic with Laura adding the final touches to her speech and the girls working their way through the “wedding” Spotify play list. Amy had chosen to go for something a little more traditional when it comes to her dress, but upon seeing it I knew they were going to compliment each other so much. Here are some images I captured of Amy getting ready and all the little details…

The ceremony was held at The Portsmouth Registry Office and before our brides made their way down the aisle, they wanted to do what they called “The Reveal”. This really was a beautiful way for them to first see each other and here are a few images I captured of them….

So I would just like to say a huge thank you to both Amy & Kate for letting me be a huge part of their special day. It was just a honour to share it with you and to meet all of your amazing family & friends. You guys really do know how to party and here’s to many more years of happiness together.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to all of your family & friends for making my day so easy and so much fun. Its always nice as a wedding photographer to feel so welcome and to see so many happy faces. But before you go, here are loads more images of their special day and for your viewing pleasure.

If you are currently planning your special day and looking for a wedding photographer, please feel free to give me shout, if you like my style of photography of course. Also feel free to leave a comment below, as its always nice to get a little feedback.

Lots of love

Together, Forever, Believe & Achieve

So it was time to head up North for the stunning wedding of two good friends, Ryan & Sam. I first met Ryan when I worked in America on a summer camp as their official photographer and we have been great friends ever since. One year he met the girl of his dreams and fast forward a few years and its now time for the happiest day of their lives.

They had planned to have their preparation at the Mercure Bankfield Hotel in Bingley and then for the main event of the ceremony and wedding reception to be held at East Riddleston Hall which is a stunning venue set in the grounds and home of a 17th century cloth maker. They had chosen to hold their wedding in the barn on the grounds and trust me when I say, it was absolutely breath taking.

I started the day with Sam and her team of bridesmaids at the hotel which included her sister Sarah, Ryan’s sister Sophie and two of Sam’s her best friends Amy & Zowie. But also let’s not forget little Molly who was absolutely obsessed with the camera and such a great little character. Sam was having her hair done by Hannah from Enchanted Hair and then onto her make up by Charlotte from Beauty in Bloom & Jessica Bass Make Up. Below are some images we created of Sam and her preparation to become the new Mrs McGee…

It was only a short journey through the hotel to meet up with Ryan, who by this point in the day was starting his preparation and getting into his suit. We had a great little catch up and it was great to see some familiar faces from over sea’s in his friend Harry who had travelled over from the US. His main job was to help Ryan and to calm the nerves. Here are some images I capture of Ryan as he became the handsome groom you see before you…

Staright back to the lovely ladies in room 102. Whom by this point had the dress in their sights and it was nearly time for Sam to take her final steps as a fiancé, to become the new Mrs McGee. As you can see, Sam went for something that she knew would take Ryan’s breath away in the form of her colourful beautiful dress and boy did it look amazing. Here are some images I captured before we all headed off to East Riddleston Hall

I would just like to say a huge thank you to the new Mr & Mrs McGee for letting me be such a big part of their day and entrusting me with documenting all the wonders you had installed for your guests. It truly was a stunning day! Here’s to many years of happiness together and to all the many adventures you have lined up in the years to come.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to all of their friends and family for making my day such fun and so easy to capture. I really did have a great time and you guys sure no how to party! If any of you are currently planning your special day, please give me a shout if you like what you see. No where is to far for me to travel and it would be a absolute honour to be a part of your day too.

BUT Before you go, there are loads more images below of our lovely couple. Please feel free to leave a message below or a little feedback on the images.

Lots of love
