@ The Square Tower & The Gaiety Southsea, Portsmouth
Only a few weddings left for me this year and this one was extra special as it was for a good friend and fellow wedding photographer Kerry and her “now” husband Chalton. What an amazing honour for me, to be asked by a fellow wedding photographer to capture their special day and there was no doubt that the day was going to be amazing.
I started the day with Kerry at The Queens Hotel in Portsmouth where Kerry was getting ready with her side of the bridal party. Her hair was being done by Gemma from Hair Up By Gemma and her makeup was by Jade from Glow Up Beauty by Jade. It was a nice chilled morning and Kerry was surrounded by her nearest and dearest including her sister, mum and daughter Niska.
Here are a few images I captured of Kerry getting ready and all the little details that she had been collecting, over the months to make this day extra special…..
It really was a nice chilled morning and before we knew it, the time had come for Kerry to get into her dress, It was a stunning traditional dress from Velvet Queen with stunning lace detail throughout and Kerry had gone for the wow factor vail which I think measured in at a lengthy 4 meters. This was a dream for me, as I do love my vail shots and this one didn’t fail to provide.
With Kerry’s mum at hand to help her into her dress and her sister waiting in the wings to see her sister for the first time in her dress, all was coming together nicely and it was nearly time to head off to meet up with Chalton.
Here are a few images I captured of Kerry whilst she was making the final preparations to become the new Mrs James…
A short journey down the road to meet Chalton and his team of best men and best lady. One thing I absolutely loved about this wedding was the little details and autumnal colour palette throughout the day. With the flowers, waistcoats and finer details in the suits, it was just the perfect look for the season as we transitioned into winter.
Here are a few images I captured of Chalton, and their little boy Austin (WARNING – Major cute factor photos en route).
I absolutely love this part of a wedding day as this is when the reality really starts to set in for our groom especially as he starts to make his final steps down the aisle to wait for the arrival of his bride….
Back outside to meet with Kerry one last time to capture some images of her arrival and a little mini shoot outside The Square Tower. Kerry was arriving in one of my favourite wedding modes of transport Hector the 1967 Splitty VW Camper.
Here are a few images just before Kerry took her final steps down the aisle to marry her man…
This is the part in my blog where I always like to say a huge thank you to our lovely couple. Kerry & Chalton you both looked amazing on your special day and just make the most stunning of couples. The little family you guys have is just the perfect balance and here’s to many more years of happiness together and now as Team James.
Thank you so much for choosing me to document your day Kerry, it truly was an honour and I cannot wait to show you the rest of your images. But don’t worry, there are plenty more for you to see below and I think everyone will agree, these two look amazing!
Before I go though, just one last thank you to all of Kerry & Chaltons family and friends. You all really do mean the world to them and that was so clear on their special day. But also a big thank you from me, for all your help, laughter and making my job so easy.
Here are some images I captured of our lovely couple before they headed off to The Gaiety Southsea to party the night away….
