Nicole & Gary McKnight

@ The Port House, Port Solent

What a beautiful day to spend with Nicole and Gary to celebrate their special day. The festive season was in full swing, and the wedding had a lovely Christmas esc theme about it.

I started the morning with Nicole and her bridesmaids, who were planning to get ready at Nicole‘s mum’s house with her hair and make-up being done at the house.  There was a nice buzz in the air, and those of you that know Nicole will know she has a real buzz for life, and there’s never a dull moment when you spend time with her.

Hair this morning was done by Amy Godding, and make-up was done by Angela from Beauty by Angela. The dress was something a little different to a standard wedding dress, but it still had that wow factor about it.

Here are some images I captured of Nicole during the preparation stages, surrounded by her best friends, mum and family cats….

Gary was but a short journey down the road where he was getting ready at the family home with his best man Mitchell.

As always, the men’s preparation is much less busy than the lady’s. They generally have to put a suit on, do their hair, get ready and don’t be late. Gary was in good spirits and enjoying the morning, surrounded by their family pets, including their two dogs, Tinks and Charley, who would also make an appearance at the wedding.

Here are some images I captured of Gary and Mitchell during their preparation in the morning….

Back to Nicole, and it was now time for the donning of the dress. The morning had been packed full of laughter and all-around smiles, and as we progressed through the morning, it just got better and better.  Now is the time for the big rush and the nerves to really kick in.

Nicole was off playing with the neighbour’s cat, but it was clear that everything was going to be on schedule, and she would arrive to meet her groom to be on time because she had a good team behind her who was hot on her heels.

Here are some final images I captured of Nicole during the preparation stages, as her mum helped her into her dress and all hell broke loose as everyone started to realise the time….. it was time for Nicole to become the new Mrs McKnight…

I want to say a huge thank you to Nicole and Gary for letting me be a part of their special day. What a beautiful day it was, and your favourite friends, family and loved ones surrounded you.  You guys look beautiful together, and here’s to an amazing future and many more magical moments to come in the years that await you as the new Mr & Mrs McKnight.

A huge thank you to all your friends and family who made my day so easy, and it was lovely to spend it with them.  You guys sure know how to party, and it generally was so lovely to see everyone so happy.

Before I leave though, here are some of my favourite images from the special day and a little portrait session around Port Solent with our lovely couple….
