Sara & James Lennon

@ Parley Manor, Christchurch

What a beautiful day spent at Parley Manor to photograph the special day of Sara & James.  With COVID restrictions still in place throughout the UK what a year it has been for all of our couples.  But finally the day has come for Sara & James to tie the knot.

The weather was glorious but with light showers predicted for later on in the day, it was going to be a day to embrace whatever Mother Nature decided to throw at us.

I started the morning with Sara and her team of Bridesmaids at her home in Eastleigh, where they planned to have their Hair & Make Up done before heading off to Parley Manor.  Hair & Make Up was done by one of my favourite teams of Artists from Portsmouth, Georgina Chambers Make Up Studio.

Check out some of the images I captured in the morning…

So our bride was looking stunning and our MUA’s had finished their job.  It was time for Sara to now get into her dress.  This is the part of the day when everything for the bride really comes together and starts to feel really real.  With Sara’s team of bridesmaids to support her, the nerves were at bay and everything came together nicely.

Sara’s dress was from Wed2Be in Southampton, by designer Anna Sorrano and was absolutely stunning with beautiful detail throughout.  I would highly recommend Wed2Be as one of Southampton’s top suppliers and the service they offer is next to none.

So with Sara’s dad waiting to see his daughter in her dress for the first time and the limo soon to arrive, it was time for our bride to get into her dress.  Here are some images I captured of those final moment before Sara headed off to see her soon to be husband at the end of the aisle.

It was now time to head off to the venue to catch up with James, his best man and all the guests that had come to help celebrate their special day.  It is always nice to see the groom for the first time as it is always hit and miss to how the nerves are going to be.  In the case of James though these were no where to be seen.  He was cool as a cucumber and just excited to see his bride.

Here are a few images I captured of James & his best man Mark, before Sara arrived at the venue.

So for those of you that haven’t been to Parley Manor before, the Manor House itself is where the bride arrives to speak to the registrar before heading off down the beautiful garden to the end where the marquee is and ceremony takes place.

In the house though is the drawing room where us photographers have the chance to take a few more images of the bride and bridesmaids in the most beautiful of lights to work in. Check out some of the images I created before Sara became the new Mrs Lennon…

I can’t help but share some of the images from just after the bride & groom have tied the knot.  Check out these….

What a incredibly few years it has been for all of us with COVID in our lives.  For me, being back behind the camera and able to do what I love so very much, makes me so happy.  But also to photograph couples on the special day just makes it all that extra special.

I just want to say a huge thank you to both Sara & James for letting me be a part of their special day and choosing me to capture it.  I think you will all agree that they look amazing together and their day was just incredible.  Everything fell into place nicely and their were smiles all round.  Here is to many years of happiness together, congratulations guys!

Before I leave you though here are a few more images from their portrait shoot of their day around the grounds of Parley Manor…
