Gemma & Danny Rimmer

I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Gemma & Danny this weekend at one of my favourite venues on the south coast, Southend Barns in Chichester. Set on a beautiful farm in the West Sussex countryside, this beautifully restored wedding barn is just perfect venue to tie the knot and celebrate with friend & family.
Lucky for Gemma & Danny they had managed to avoid rescheduling their special day due to COVID and finally the day had come for them to make it legal. Gemma started the day with her 5 bridesmaids at a lovely Air B&B in Selsey with the beautiful seaside as her backdrop.
Her hair & make up preparation was to start here and finishing at the bridal suite at Southend Barns. Hair was being done by Natasha Chanel who is based locally to the venue and make up by the team from Georgina Chambers make up studio in Portsmouth. Both very highly skilled at their trade and I would definitely recommend!

After arriving at the venue, there was plenty of time to sit back and relax before the ceremony, everything was very on schedule and going to plan. Slight hiccup with a little rain forecast around the time of the ceremony but that was nothing a backup plan couldn’t handle!
Lucky for our couple, the venue has both outside and inside ceremony areas and both are equally breathtaking backdrops to hold a ceremony in.
Danny arrived ahead of schedule with his team (literally football team) of friends & close friends. With his best man Dean by his side and the banter flowing like Jaeger Bombs on a British summer Saturday night, these guys kept me on my toes and it was great fun to be apart of.

Back to the girls who were strategically hidden around the corner from eager eyes within the main part of the venue which was slowly filling up with excited guests, friends and family.
The bridesmaids were now in their dresses and it was now time for Gemma to get into hers. The whole morning had a magical feel about it and it was just perfect to document. I think you will agree that Gemma looks absolutely stunning in her beautiful dress. Here are a few images I captured of our bride to be in the final stages….
It is time for me to leave you with some of my favourites from the day, but that’s not until I say a huge thank you to our lovely couple. Gemma & Danny, you guys are perfect together and make the most amazing couple. On the day you surrounded yourself with everyone that mean’t the world to you and it really was special to watch. The love you, your family & friends all have for each other is pretty incredible.
I would just like to wish you all the very best for the future and here’s to many many years of happiness together as the new Mr & Mrs Rimmer. Thank you again for choosing me to document your day and I truly cannot wait to show you your full set of images.
Before I go though, a big thank you to all of Gemma & Danny’s friends and family. The banter throughout the day was intense but I absolutely loved every minute of it and you guys made my job incredibly fun and easy on the day.
